She's started hitting though which is not good. I think it came from the hard patting that she would give Guinness, but we are trying to teach her now its not ok. She for sure is expressing outbursts of frustration and independence.
She has developed the concept of play-pretend. She will pretend to eat something from your hand with you. For Xmas we got her a play set of food, so Im excited to give that to her and "cook" with her and "try" the new foods!
On the 5th she'll be 19 months old, wow! Shes growing and maturing so quickly. She has a definite preference for certain shoes, jackets, etc. She recently had a complete meltdown over a pair of shoes that for the previous 3 weeks had been her total favorite. But not that morning; she wanted a pair of pink sandals that she hadnt touched in months. Oh boy.
What a sweetie! I just had a friend call the other night (she has an 18 month old) and ask me if Hazel was hitting as well. I think it's just where they are all at right now and I don't think there is much more intent behind it than asserting their independence right now!
